To book your session, simply fill out a contact form here, with a brief description of how you'd like to be photographed, and I will personally call you to get you on the calendar and in the studio for your session.
Once your session has been reserved, we will have a pre-consultation to create a blueprint of your session. During the consultation,we will discuss outfits, hair, make-up, and location for your session. Please bring in any inspiration that you have for your outfits, hair, and make up for your session, this way, we can have every detail noted for your session.
If you ever have any questions regarding your session after your consultation, you are more than welcome to set a second appointment before your session date, or give me a phone call-- I'm always happy to help.
The session fee is due upon booking your session, along with your signed contract. Sessions dates and times will only be reserved if the session fee and contract are completed. If you need a little time to deliver your session fee, your requested date may be held for 72 hours with a non-refundable retainer fee of $85, and a signed contract.
Your session fee includes up to 2 hours of shooting time, full access to all of TeAirra Mitchell Photography props and gowns, and a hard cover proof book of the retouched images from your session. Prints and products are sold separately.
Session availability is limited, and is on a first come, first serve basis. Keeping in mind that sessions generally book out 6 weeks in advance, you should book your session with plenty of time to decide on the looks and styles you want, to shop for the clothing you want to bring to your session, and keep a 2-3 week turn around in mind if your images will be used for a special occasion (greeting cards, announcements, gift for a loved one, etc..).
For maternity images, the best time to reserve your session is around 28-32 weeks in your pregnancy. Newborn images are best created when baby is 6-22 days old to achieve the squishy-sleepy-baby look. =]
Wedding services should be reserved as soon as you start planning your wedding! Your wedding photographer will wear many hats on your big day to be sure to capture every single detail, so not only do you want to be sure you book them before another bride does, but that you book them in enough time for them to be able to learn all the in's and out's of your wedding day.
Life happens, and sometimes things don’t go the way we plan. If you need to reschedule, I ask that you give me at least a two hour notice, along with the new date you wish to have your session. When choosing a new date, have a couple of back-up dates in mind in case the new date you request is unavailable. If you need to reschedule again, a rescheduling fee of $100 is due before you set the new date.
If your session is scheduled for outdoors, I will cancel the morning of if the weather conditions are severe. “Severe” meaning heavy rain, extreme wind conditions, and extreme heat or cold. If the weather is questionable, I will call you the morning of to inform you that I’m monitoring the conditions and will give you a final decision 2 hours before your session. If weather becomes severe during your session, we will reschedule to finish the remainder of the session at my earliest availability, on a later date, at no additional charge.
You can expect 25-30 fully retouched images in your proof book.
For portrait sessions, your proofs will be ready 2-3 weeks after your session, and will include a helpful order form to help you sort out which images you'd like to be printed from your session.
Wedding galleries are delivered 4-6 weeks after your wedding day.
Once your proof book is ready, I will give you a call to let you know your book is ready to be picked up. We will decide on a date and time for us to meet again for you to see your proofs and receive your book, and sit down together to look over your images and place your print order.
If you're unable to meet in-person, no worries! Your proof book contains an easy-to-use order form where you can write your order in the book, and send back to me. I'll submit your order to my lab, and send back your proof book with your order.
Yes! Unless you request otherwise, your images will be retouched to remove scars, stretchmarks, and blemishes. Stylized edits will also be made to reflect the style of TeAirra Mitchel Photography.
After you've placed your order, I will have your products ready for in-studio pick up within 5-7 business days depending on the product. You may also choose to have your products shipped to you; shipping fees do apply.
Of course pets are welcome to your session! It's YOUR session!
However, please be mindful that I am a people photographer, and have very little experience with pet photography. If you're looking for amazing images for your pets, I might not be the best choice for you, but if you're looking for amazing images with you, and your pet is included in a few images, then I think we'll do just fine.
I will travel to most locations in the San Francisco East Bay Area. Arrangements for locations outside of the SFEBA can be made while booking your session.
